2008 Facility Satisfaction Survey (03/10/09)The Workstation and Microcomputer Facilities conducted a client satisfaction survey during Fall 2008. The results of the survey and actions taken have been posted at http://facility.berkeley.edu/survey2008.html.
We would like to thank all our clients who participated in the survey for the chance to win prizes. The drawing for prizes will occur in the next three weeks, and you will be contacted if you are a winner. Please continue to fill out the survey as we appreciate all feedback, however the prize drawing is now closed.

Save our Student Labs! We will use this survery to learn how to best serve you in the computer labs, so that we make every dollar count, as the campus continues to experience budget cuts.
The computer lab in the SLC will be converted into offices following the Fall 2008 semester. The SLC lab will close permanently on December 12, 2008.
The computer lab in B3 Dwinelle Hall has shown a significant reduction in usage since its opening for the Fall semester on September 29. The closing date has been revised in light of this trend, therefore the Dwinelle computer lab will close permanently at the end of November 2008. The computer lab in B3 Dwinelle Hall will offer reduced hours for the fall 2008 semester beginning September 29, 2008. Due to budget cuts, the facility will close permanently at the end of the fall semester. In Fall 2008, W&MF upgraded the PC computers to thin clients at the Student Learning Center (SLC) Atrium.
In Spring 2008, W&MF upgraded the PC computers on the 1st floor of Moffitt Library and at 2105 VLSB (Biosciences Library).
In Fall 2007, W&MF upgraded the PC computers at 211 Wheeler Hall, 212 Wheeler Hall, and 262 Evans Hall.
In Spring 2007, W&MF upgraded the Macintosh computers on the 1st floor of Moffitt Library and at 2105 VLSB (Biosciences Library).
In Fall 2006, W&MF upgraded the PC computers at 1109 Etcheverry Hall, 106 Latimer Hall, 175 Tan Hall, and the Student Learning Center (SLC) Atrium.
In Spring 2006, W&MF upgraded the PC computers at B3 Evans Hall.
In Fall 2005, W&MF upgraded the PC computers at 1535 Tolman Hall and B3 Dwinelle Hall.
A pilot program for wireless printing was successfully implemented beginning Spring 2007. Wireless printing capability has been extended to the first floor of Moffitt library (to use printers located in MMF) and the second floor of Valley Life Sciences building (to use printers located in LSMF). The newly upgraded computer lab at 74 Barrows Hall provides training space for groups with campuswide projects. Other groups with training or academic needs are also encouraged to apply for facility use.
