Hours: Monday-Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm

Computer consulting assistance to access the campus computer network or to use the Internet is available for registered Berkeley students. The consulting desk is staffed by trained student consultants and provides configuration and troubleshooting support for all networking software available at (http://software.berkeley.edu/). Assistance is also available for other networking applications, including Airbears, bSpace, Calmail, VPN/proxy server service, security and Campus DHCP.

This service was originally developed through a joint partnership between IST's former Workstation Support Services (now Client Services) and the Undergraduate Affairs Student Learning Center. It was created to develop and enhance computer technology support and services for students.

For assistance with network and security configurations, students should have a backup of their entire system prior to bringing the laptop (or system unit) in for troubleshooting. SCCS consultants are not responsible for data loss or software corruption.
