This is a list of the most frequently asked questions (FAQs) that we hear in the Microcomputer Facilities. Please send an email to wmf-comments@lists.berkeley.edu if you have a question.
You already have one! Anyone with a valid CalNet ID has free access to the facilities. If you choose to print, you must create a printing account.
1 black & white page (single-sided)= $0.06
1 black & white page (double-sided)= $0.09
1 color page (single-sided) = $0.60
**If you send a black and white print job to a color printer you will be charged $0.60 per page.
Yes! If you have hardware such as external USB drives, headphones, ipods, etc., you can attach them to our computers under these restrictions:

Yes! Color printing is now available in the Life Sciences Microcomputer Facility (LSMF - 2105 Valley Life Sciences Building) and the Moffitt Microcomputer Facility (MMF - 1st floor Moffitt Library). The fee for color printing is $0.60 per color page. Check our Policies for more information on Account and Printing Information.
You can check your print balance and history at the Printing Management page. Print history will show locations of printing activity as well as debit and credit amounts for the past six months.
Registered students can drop by the Student Computer Consulting Service desk, located behind the staff area of the Moffitt Microcomputer Facility. SCCS consultants are available for help with connectivity issues, not hardware support. Drop-in hours are generally from 10am-2pm Monday through Friday.

General access lab hours are posted and vary in each facility throughout the semester. We are closed on all University holidays.
You can now register for a CalMail account on the internet. Ask a consultant in any of the facilities if you need assistance.
You can get a Home IP account from the Berkeley Internet Link. Information about Home IPs and purchasing internet service is also available on the Communications and Network Services page.
