W&MF walk-in courses

The Workstation & Microcomputer Facilities (W&MF) began hosting free Saturday walk-in classes in 1994. But due to a dramatic decrease in attendance, it was no longer feasible to sustain the program. Our last set of classes was taught in Spring 2003.

If you need help with application software training, please take advantage of these available resources:

  1. Documentation and outlines for the Walk-In classes will be available at the W&MF documentation site: http://facility.berkeley.edu/handouts.html.
  2. Consultants in the computer labs are available to assist users with questions about commonly used software that is supported in the campus computer labs.
  3. On-line help is available with most software applications under the "Help" tab in the top menu.
  4. There are many books available for reference in the computer section of a local bookstore.
  5. Use a search engine such as Google (http://www.google.com) to search for other resources.
