Workstation & Microcomputer Facilities

W&MF computer labs are supported by Client Services within the Information Services & Technology department. PC and Macintosh computers are available at several locations around campus for general use and class instruction.

Computer Donations Available to UCB Departments (ALL DISTRIBUTED): The Workstation & Microcomputer Facilities department is offering older PC computers for free to campus departments for a limited time. Visit the Computer Donation website for Terms and Conditions of eligibility, and to fill out a request form for between 20-40 free computers - while supplies last.
Group Study Space (with Wi-Fi) now available: B3 Evans is now open for laptop use, study space, and group work. This is a great place to study alone or with friends. The study space is open week days, and the hours are listed with our General Access Labs.
Facility closures and reduced hours: Please read the News Flash for more information.
- The instructional computer lab in 106 Latimer Hall will be closed beginning Fall 2009 to reduce costs to both the IST department and the College of Chemistry.
- The general access computer lab in 175 Tan Hall will replace 106 Latimer Hall as as an instructional facility and will no longer be available for general access drop-in.
- The general access computer lab in B3 Evans Hall will be open for laptop users and group space users (no general access computers will be available).
- Hours have been reduced at the general access computer labs in 2105 VLSB and 212 Wheeler Hall.
Wireless Printing: Find information on how to set up your laptop to use printers in our facilities at Moffitt Library (MMF), Bio-Sciences Library (LSMF), and B3 Evans Hall (EMF).
